The FKF Kakamega County League delivered yet another electrifying weekend of football on March 7th and 8th, with intense battles, dramatic late goals, red cards, and several high-scoring encounters lighting up pitches across the county. From last-minute winners to entertaining goal fests, fans were treated to a spectacle in Zones A–F as teams fought hard for crucial points.


ZONE A

Postponed Clash at Sango Primary

The scheduled encounter between Mapera FC and Youngsters FC (Likuyani) at Sango Primary School slated for 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 7th was postponed, leaving fans awaiting a rescheduled date.

Melody and Muungano Share the Spoils

At Nangili Market, Melody United and Muungano FC battled to a 1–1 draw.
Muungano struck first in the 24th minute through V. Andrew, before W. Bruno restored parity for Melody United in the 36th minute. Discipline issues surfaced late as S. Wachusi of Muungano FC received a yellow card in the 88th minute.

Kagwa Edge Homeboys in Tight Contest

At Mbururu Primary School, J. Isaac delivered a stellar performance for Kagwa FC, scoring in the 12th minute and again in the 79th minute to give his side a 2–1 victory over Homeboys FC.
Homeboys fought back late with M. Imbuyu finding the net in the 87th minute, but the comeback came too late.

David Hat-Trick Powers Matunda Youth

Matunda Youth produced a commanding display at Matunda Primary School, defeating Nangili FC 3–2.
M. David was the star of the afternoon, scoring in the 2nd, 3rd, and 63rd minutes to complete a brilliant hat-trick.

Matisi Hold Firm Despite Late Red Card

On Sunday at Patrice Primary School, Matisi FC secured a narrow 1–0 win over Mlimani FC courtesy of W. Felix’s 10th-minute strike.
The hosts endured late drama when W. Reagan received a yellow card in the 84th minute and another in the 89th minute, resulting in a red card.
