FKF Kakamega Chairman Jeff Mudembei graced the FKF Busia County Mini League held at Kisoko Primary School in Nambale, Busia County, in a show of solidarity, sportsmanship, and commitment to grassroots football development. During the Busia tournament, Chairman Mudembei went beyond cheering on the participating teams by personally motivating two promising young talents through cash donations. He presented cash rewards to the overall league top scorer and the player who scored the decisive goal separating the two finalists.
The gesture underscored his commitment to recognizing emerging talent, rewarding outstanding performances and encouraging young footballers to pursue their dreams.
His presence at the Busia Mini League also highlighted the importance of collaboration among FKF county branches in nurturing grassroots football and creating opportunities for upcoming players.
The championship final was also attended by Busia gubernatorial aspirant Arthur Osiya, who joined football fans, participating teams and other stakeholders for the occasion.
Osiya congratulated Bushara FC on winning the championship and commended Kekalet FC, who finished as first runners-up following a strong performance.
The participation of both leaders added to the occasion, which celebrated competitive football and the development of grassroots talent in Busia County.
