
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sylvester Odero, FKF Kirinyaga Vice Chairman and Head Coach of Fortune Sacco FC.
His commitment to the growth of football in Kirinyaga and beyond was immense, serving not only as a beacon of inspiration but also as a driving force that brought together players, coaches, and fans alike. He dedicated countless hours to nurturing young talent, organizing training sessions, and ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to engage with the sport. The Late Sylvester Odero, fondly known as Chester, passed away in a road accident early Monday morning June 14th 2025 at 5 a.m.
Chester was more than a coach — he was a pillar in Kenyan football:

A devoted teacher by profession
