    FKF President Tree Planting Event In Vihiga

    On 24th January 2025, while the FKF President was in Western Kenya, he was accompanied by his deputy, MaDonald Mariga. Together, they were warmly hosted by NEC Western Mr. Caleb Amwayi. The event truly highlighted the spirit of community engagement, as various Western region FKF Branches, led by their dedicated leadership, came together to participate in a significant tree planting initiative. This event took place at the picturesque Roddy’s Hotel, located in Buyangu, Vihiga County, where attendees expressed their commitment to environmental conservation. The day was filled with enthusiasm and a strong sense of purpose, as the participants planted numerous trees, which not only contributed to the beautification of the area but also underscored the importance of acting against climate change for future generations.

    The occasion was graced by an esteemed gathering of dignitaries, including, but not limited to, the NEC member from Nyanza, and the NEC Member from Rift Valley, whose contributions to the region’s development have been invaluable. The presence of the FKF Chairmen from Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, and Vihiga added significant weight to the event, as their collective efforts in promoting football at the grassroots level have fostered local talent and invigorated community spirit. Furthermore, the FKF Kakamega Secretary General, who played a crucial role in orchestrating the proceedings, ensured that the event ran smoothly and effectively highlighted the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders in the sports sector. This gathering not only celebrated the achievements of these individuals but also served as a platform for discussing future initiatives aimed at advancing the sport in the region, bringing together voices from different communities to inspire unity and progress.
