The FKF Kakamega Branch League 2025/26 was officially launched in spectacular fashion on Saturday, 7th February 2026, at Mwitoti Secondary School, marking the beginning of what promises to be a thrilling and competitive season.
The County League launch lived up to its billing, drawing football fans, stakeholders, and local leaders in large numbers as Bunge FC faced off against Thunderstorm FC in an electrifying opening fixture.

The event was widely praised as highly successful, well-organized, and a true celebration of grassroots football in Kakamega County. From the colorful pre-match atmosphere to the intense on-pitch action, the launch demonstrated FKF Kakamega’s commitment to growing and professionalizing football at the county level.
FKF Kakamega Branch Chairman Jeff Mudembei expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the quality of the event.

Match Report: Bunge FC 2-0 Thunderstorm FC
