    On 3rd January, the residents of Manda Shivanga ward were thrilled by the attendance and enthusiasm surrounding the 7th Edition of the Hon. David Kivishi Super Cup.     The Member of the Kakamega County Assembly, Hon. David Kivishi, a passionate sportsman himself, believes firmly in nurturing the raw talents found within the youth of our communities. He shared that one of the primary reasons for the Super Cup running annually is to provide a platform for these young athletes to showcase their skills and hone their talents to perfection. This dedication to sports and youth development is a testament to his commitment towards fostering a healthy future for the residents.

    During the event, Hon. Kivishi echoed the sentiments of his good friend, Hon. Farouk Kibet, who encouraged residents to come out in large numbers to register for the Social Health Authority (SHA) program. He also reminded the soccer stakeholders that the cost of participating in the FKF KAKAMEGA BRANCH LEAGUE has been reduced by 50%, making it more accessible for various local teams to join and showcase their talent. Furthermore, he announced that sub-branch elections are around the corner, and it will be as free, fair, and transparent as possible, ensuring that every voice is heard and represented in the decision-making processes that impact the future of soccer in the region.     It was an incredible afternoon at the 3rd Edition of the PK SALASYA CLASSIC CUP FINALS at K.M.T.C SHIANDA MUMIAS CAMPUS.

    Witnessing such immense football talent on display was nothing short of inspiring. Congratulations to Gonga Gonga for emerging champions through a 4-2 Win on penalty shootouts after the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
    On ladies category we witnessed earlier Promised starlets lifting the pk Salasya Classic Cup 3rd edition for the second time in a row after clinching Musango Queens 1-0 in normal time.

    Kudos to Team Mabadiliko Hon PK Salasya and Hamisi Waswa Wakhumwitoti together with the comettee for organizing a tournament that not only showcases raw talent but also uplifts the youth through sports.
